In
the wintermonths the Atlin Ski Club is setting loipes in and around Atlin,
mostly south and east of town.
Easy access points with some parking space:
---around the Atlin Teen Center: cross Discovery Avenue and take a snowmobile
trail down to the alkali flats (behind the small building next to the laundromat).
The loipe can be found on the flats.
---at the south end of First Street just before you get to the Norseman,
you will see on the E side of the road a small cabin. The loipe can be found
right behind this cabin. A snowmobile trail will give you access to the
Alkali Flats.

Since last Xmas the skitrails
on the alkali flats have been set regularly.
After a heavy snowfall or extremely low temps. (as of today, Monday Jan.
28) allow a few days for me to get everything in shape again.
Believe me, I am on top of it: I am skiing them myself every day.
