Saturday August 18 & Sunday August 19, 2007

A 1 or 2-day "friendly" triathlon: biking, running and paddling for novice, intermediate and experienced people.
Registration for this event is limited! Assure yourself a place soon.

The finishing time is the total time of all four legs. In the case of a double kayak or canoe, the time recorded by the slowest person will be the team's time.

The 4-Crown Quest is a 4-leg route covered in two days.
It starts out with an approx. 20 km. bike ride to Surprise Lake, then you embark upon the 20 km. canoe/kayak leg on Surprise Lake to the Cracker Creek backcountry campsite on the shore of Surprise Lake. Here your camping equipment will be waiting for you. (Distances are approximate).
You overnight at this campsite after enjoying a backcountry SalmonBBQ for your evening dinner. We bring the salmon and roasted veggies (included in the registration fee). You bring any side dishes you might favour!
The next morning you run back to your bike dropoff point along old mining roads (20 km) and then bike back to the Start/Finish line in Atlin.
Your boat will be brought back to the Surprise Lake
landing site. You should be back in Atlin between 12 - 3 pm.
The Closing Banquet will be held at 5 pm. in a still to be defined locality.

The one day race, covering the course in one single day, will start on Sunday August 20 at 8 am. from the Atlin Inn starting line.
This year a substantial portion of the bike route will be off the Surprise Lake Road and follows old trails; some narrow, some wider, some rough gravel, some single track, some soft forest ground. We will do our best to limit riding on the Surprisel Lake Rd. (gravel) to a minimum.
